About this item
Metal insets are developed to prepare children for handwriting.
The metal inset exercises strengthen the three-finger grip and coordinate the necessary wrist movements.
The exercises also advance proficiency in the lightness of touch and evenness of pressure through drawing activities.
Why is this a great Christmas gift?
For children ages 3–6, this Montessori tracing tray turns drawing into playful practice for the skills that support handwriting. As they trace the metal insets, they strengthen their three-finger grip and practice controlled wrist movements, light touch, and even pressure. It’s a thoughtful Christmas gift for curious little learners to find under the tree.
