Tactile relates to the sense of touch. It refers to things that can be felt or touched. Tactile sensations include textures, temperatures, pressures, and vibrations that you can feel on your skin.

Children use their sense of touch to feel pain, sense temperature, and understand textures. How sensitive they are to these sensations affects how they react to experiences and learn new things.
Our sense of touch begins developing at birth. Babies feel soft textures like blankets. Toddlers enjoy playing with smooth toys. Children explore rough textures like sand.
